Connect With Your Inner Architect at PAM’s Living Pavilion Experience

Step into a space where architecture is no longer just observed—but curated. At ARCHIDEX 2025, Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM) is breaking boundaries with a pavilion like no other. The structure represents a bold architectural statement, and a canvas for collective creativity, cleverly named the “Colosseum of Ideas.”

Rather than presenting a fixed, finalised design, PAM invites visitors to take the reins. Using play bricks, attendees are encouraged to add their own mini structures within the coliseum framework. Each contribution becomes part of an ever-evolving installation that celebrates imagination, spontaneity, and community spirit.

“We want to give back the power of designing the pavilion to the visitors,” said Ar. IDr. Ts. Qhawarizmi Norhisham, PAM Council Member and KLAF Director 2025. “This is about democratising the creative process. The more people build, the more the pavilion transforms.”

But there’s more than play at work here. The use of play bricks also serves as a nostalgic bridge to childhood dreams. “We’re tapping into the architects’ early sources of inspiration, the curiosity, innocence and joy that first led them to imagine, sketch and build,” Ar. Qhawarizmi adds.

The result? A pavilion that’s never finished, always growing so much like the spirit of architecture itself. Come build, explore, and be part of a shared design story.
