Greening the Future of Architecture at ARCHIDEX 2025

Green is no longer just a design choice, it’s a movement reshaping how we build and live. As the world leans into sustainability, verdancy is fast becoming the soul of the built environment, transforming bare walls into lush vertical forests and concrete paths into leafy sanctuaries. And if you’re wondering where to catch the latest in this fast-growing trend, ARCHIDEX 2025 is the place to be.
Landscape innovators like RAP Landscape, THL Greentech, and Landform are redefining spaces with living walls and green infrastructure that not only uplift aesthetics but also enhance well-being, regulate temperature, and make any environment feel elevated, literally and figuratively.
“Having a vertical green wall will add some ambience to your space, make it feel a bit more cozy, and of course, that makes it look fresh. And when your surroundings look fresh, you feel fresh,” shared Nigel Edwin, Creative Director at RAP Landscape Sdn Bhd.
Having a living, breathing wall is not just environmentally beneficial, but it adds excitement and zest. “The nature of vertical green walls being made of live plants means visitors will not see the same wall again, as plants grow and change, which is what makes it special,” Teo Hock Leong, Director of THL Greentech Sdn Bhd
Alongside the vertical green walls, people can also opt for decor made of glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC), which is an alternative material to composite timber.
“Ideally, we would like to see GFRC being utilised in more places, whether residential or commercial, as we feel it’s not only more durable, but it’s also safer. It’s also completely slip-resistant, so even if it’s raining people won’t slip when they walk on it,” said Luke See, Landscape Architect at Landform Sdn Bhd.
Whether you’re a developer, designer, or green enthusiast, ARCHIDEX 2025 invites you to explore what’s fresh, functional, and flourishing in the world of sustainable landscapes. Come see how greenery is climbing higher, looking sleeker, and doing more than ever before.
