ARCHIDEX Hosts ARCASIA Meet, A Strong Turnout Signaling Growing Member Engagement

ARCHIDEX once again hosted the office bearer’s meeting of the Architects Regional Council of Asia (ARCASIA), yesterday. The council represents a unification of 24 presidents of national architectural institutes from various Asian countries.
Held every quarter, the office bearer’s meeting aims to align directions of architecture in the region and based on the strong turnout exhibited by the members this time around, the council’s efforts indicate a promising future for the body.
“We have delegates here today from Architect Society of China (ASC), Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA), Association of Lao Architects and Civil Engineers (ALACE), Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) and the Hong Kong Institute Architects (HKIA),” shared ARCASIA Deputy President Ar. Dexter Koh, also a Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) Deputy President.
Ar. Dexter added that the meeting also saw the virtual participation of Korea Institute of Registered Architects (KIRA) and Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA).
This marks the council’s 10th meeting of the term and the agenda centred around preparations for the next meeting that will be held simultaneously with the Asian Congress of Architects in Incheon, South Korea, this September 2025.
