Singapore Pavilion: A Decade of Deals and Design @ Hall 8

Making a bold return, the Singapore Pavilion hosts 23 forward-thinking companies, many of whom are returning ARCHIDEX participants. For over a decade, the Singapore Pavilion has helped these businesses explore the Malaysian market, which is seen as a prime opportunity for expansion.

“Malaysia is attractive to Singaporean firms due to its cost-effectiveness, manpower, and potential for brand visibility. Companies aim to connect with buyers, designers, and architects, and past events have led to many successful deals,” said Claire Tan, Assistant Manager, Industry Development, Singapore Furniture Industries Council.

Long-standing collaborations, such as those with the Malaysian Timber Council, continue to strengthen cross-border growth and innovation.

Ontario, Canada Pavilion: A Debut with Global Intent @ Hall 8

Making its exciting debut this year is the Ontario, Canada Pavilion, featuring six leading manufacturers and suppliers. They are here to connect with end-users, potential partners, and distributors, showcasing innovative solutions that are constructing smarter, more sustainable, and competitive projects globally.

The decision to join ARCHIDEX for the first time stems from recognising Malaysia and Southeast Asia as a huge market with significant potential. This aligns with the Canadian Ministry’s role in helping companies expand internationally, leveraging ARCHIDEX’s reputation as the region’s largest exhibition.

Korea Pavilion: Business Booms on the K-Wave @ Hall 1

Returning for the third time with 10 companies, the Korean Pavilion is backed by KONTRA and riding strong momentum. This returning presence is a testament to the exhibition’s effectiveness, with Yeon Jee from GCB noting that five companies successfully closed deals last year. With many Korean companies actively seeking entry into the vibrant Southeast Asian market, Malaysia is a particular focus, offering significant opportunities for growth and collaboration.

According to Loke Mei Ying, Senior Specialist at KONTRA, “The “K-wave” has spurred interest in all things Korean, extending beyond entertainment into business. This positive perception of quality, combined with Malaysia’s open market, makes it an attractive hub for Korean companies.”

Austria Pavilion: A Comeback Rooted in Collaboration @ Hall 1

After a 10-year hiatus, Austria returns to ARCHIDEX with six dynamic SMEs, supported by the Go International co-funding initiative. The Pavilion positions Malaysia as a strategic hub, offering an English-speaking business environment and easy market entry.

Malaysia has emerged as a particularly attractive market post-COVID for Austrian businesses, with its position as a regional export hub offering a low barrier to entry and a strong English-speaking environment.

“These Austrian companies showcase creative and affordable solutions, designed for easy acceptance and collaboration within the Malaysian market,” said Sandra Yap, Senior Specialist – Construction, Energy and Mobility, Advantage Austria.

Supported by co-funding from Austria’s “Go International” initiative – a 50:50 grant matching programme from the Federal Ministry of Economy, Energy & Tourism – these exhibitors are keen to explore all forms of collaboration. While open to all types of collaborative efforts, their primary aim is to forge strong relationships with customers and suppliers, leveraging ARCHIDEX as a crucial first touchpoint for many in the Southeast Asian market.

China Pavilion: First Impressions, Lasting Impact @ Halls 1, 2 & 6

First-time exhibitors at the China Pavilion are already enjoying strong engagement. Among them, Zuoyou Intelligent Technology, with over 40 years in design manufacturing, has been warmly received.

According to Terri Wu, Overseas Marketing for Zuoyou, t”Our experience at ARCHIDEX has been excellent, and we are pleased with the high volume of visitors to our booth. Many people have come by seeking suppliers for their projects, and for us, it’s a very good opportunity to both introduce our brand and truly connect with the local market.”
